After keeping fans in suspense over the past three weeks and revealing the 2017 Eden Festival headliners in three separate announcements, festival organisers have now revealed that 2manydjs, Cat Power, Agnel Obel, Have Mercy Las Vegas, Jazzanova (live Ft Paul Randolph) and Mr Motivator will all be heading to the Raehills Meadows of Dumfries and Galloway from June 8-11 for the ninth annual Eden Festival.
They’ll be joining previously announced headliners including Gogol Bordello, Boney M, Alabama 3, So Solid Crew Ft Romeo, Alice Russell and Jungle, among many others, for the four-day festival.
Eden Festival Co-Director Meredith Langley Vine said of the final headliners announced: “We can’t believe the amazing amount of talented and revered artists coming to this year’s Eden Festival, it really is starting to attract a stampede of established acts as the festival grows and evolves.”
Although this is the final headliner announcement, Eden Festival still have more acts to announce and will reveal details of a new stage launching at the festival later this month.
This new stage is supported by EventScotland and celebrates Scotland’s Year of History, Heritage and Archaeology. Stuart Turner, Head of EventScotland, said: “We are delighted to be supporting the Eden Festival this year, through our National Funding Programme. The festival is a great boost for Dumfries and Galloway, giving visitors and locals the chance to enjoy some great Scottish bands alongside world-renowned acts in the stunning scenery of Raehills Meadows.”
To date, the scheduled acts performing at Eden Festival, which is Scotland’s second largest festival, are: 2ManyDj’s, Cat Power, Agnes Obel, Jazzanova (Live Ft Paul Randolph), Kismet, Featurecast, The Langan Band, Elephant Sessions, Ghetto Funk Label Takeover, Wbbl, Psymmetrix, Sketch, Rory Mcleod, Heron Valley, Have Mercy Las Vegas, Gnoss, Emma Gillespie, Ezra Collective, The Hempolics, Gogol Bordello, Alabama 3, Alice Russell, Dub Phizix & Strategy, Mala, Horsemeat Disco, Born On Road (Ft Benny Page, Kelvin 373, Aries, Selecta Jman), Gavin Marwicks Journey Project, Talisk, Eva Lazarus Soundsystem, Asbo Disco, Boney M, Jungle (DJ set), So Solid Crew, Admiral Fallow, Mungo’s Hi-Fi FT Solo Banton, Aunti Flow/Gypsy Disco, The Chair, Harri & Dominic (30 years of Sub Club), Fleck and special guest Mr Motivator.
Aside from the musical entertainment, a drive-in cinema, comedy, circus skills, workshops, games, kids areas and cabaret are among the many individual strands of the festival.
